Oil Paiting II

Oil painting is the expressive and technical heart of our program, approached with an approach that combines tradition and refinement. Through this medium, the depth of color, texture and light, essential elements in artistic representation, are explored. Our Diploma in Oil Painting encompasses everything from the meticulous practice of still lifes and the complex painting of human figures, to the analysis and reproduction of masterpieces. Students immerse themselves in advanced techniques, learning to interpret and recreate reality with a rich and detailed visual language, using oil paint as the primary tool to bring their artistic visions to life.

THE PROGRAM

In our program, students will take their oil painting skills further, seeking to capture the essence and natural causes of the objects, subjects, and spaces they paint. A key aspect of the learning will be the detailed analysis of how light interacts with material and color, seeking to achieve a representation that is not only visually striking, but also discursively deep, covering both syntactic and pragmatic aspects.

The projects will evolve from the creation of still lifes with simple compositions to more sophisticated and challenging structures. This progress ensures a deep understanding of form, texture and lighting.

As for the human figure, students will face the challenge of working with models in 48-hour poses. This approach allows for a level of detail and meticulous rendering, capturing every nuance and feature of the subject with descriptive precision.

Additionally, a comprehensive study will be conducted of masterpieces that include multiple figures and complex compositions. This analysis not only improves technical skills, but also deepens students' understanding of narrative and compositional structure in painting.

This program is designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and artistic sensitivity necessary to take their oil painting to unique levels of excellence and expression.
